After spending more than 25 years in the corporate world, Sandy Reinke was ready for a change. “Although I experienced much success with my corporate career, I decided that if I was ever going to venture out of my comfort zone, now would be the time,” Reinke says. And she knew exactly what she wanted to do.
James Kuettner’s path to becoming an attorney is a unique one. “Prior to law school, I managed bars and restaurants for about 11 years. I encountered customers with various legal issues. I felt compelled to do something to help, so I went to undergrad and then law school,” Kuettner explains.
It’s just been a year since they started, but the him and her behind Him and Her Design Studio are already expanding their services. Retail products will be a big push for the duo in 2018. The design team of Brandon Reibeling and Michelle Isebrand opened their doors in North Mankato in Spring of 2017.
“My business journey began in the travel industry then moved into owning a retail store and finally landed on where my passion lies, interior design,” says Fasnacht. “ After going back to school and earning my interior design degree, I started as a commercial interior designer for a local architectural firm 10 years ago.
Although Sue Carrigan had a good job, more and more she found corporate America dull and unfulfilling. Her partner Jamie Streett, who is an entrepreneur himself, told her “Maybe we should think about owning our own business. There’s nothing like being your own boss. When you are ready, I’ll help you.”
Bruce Walters is a numbers guy. He likes to look at numbers, discover what’s behind them and how to use them best. It’s part of what drove him to become a CPA. Recently, though, he discovered some numbers that disturbed him.
St. Peter’s historic armory building has new life, as The Capitol Room, the region’s newest event space. “We are located in the historic downtown St. Peter right on 169 with easy visibility and accessibility,” says Dan Dinsmore, owner. “The building was used historically as a gathering space and has a great layout. It was meaningful to us to restore its original purpose in the community.
When the name “Kate Cox” is spoken in the Greater Mankato area, one word comes to mind: passion. More specifically, passion for youth. It’s that passion that drives everything Kate does and in August it culminated with the opening of PrairieCare Medical Group in Mankato.
